BLACK SEA TURTLE RELEASE
Marina Del Sur, Guatemala
I had the opportunity to work with a local Black Pacific Sea Turtle conservation center at my grandmother's house on the beach when I found a Black Pacific Sea Turtle climbing ashore to lay her eggs. I was out on an evening drive with a few cousins and my Mother. My mom knew there was an official conservation effort ongoing and went to go notify the office while I stayed with the turtle.
The next day we saw where they keep the eggs safe and coincidentally there were some eggs hatching as we came to visit those we had found the night before. The video above is from that release!

A little bit About Me
My name is Juan Luis Miron IV and I am about to graduate in May of 2020 with a B.B.A. in Management and a Minor in Marketing.
I have been in the workforce since 2012 and have worked on a number Entrepreneurial projects with my family in a managerial capacity. I take pride in all that I do and in the long-term relationships I’ve fostered in the process. I firmly believe that hard work eventually pays off. I've maintained a variety of jobs outside of my family as well throughout my academic career in order to pay my way through University

PAST AND CURRENT EXPERIENCE
September 2019 - Present Day (Virus Permitting)
MARKETING MANAGER, WESTLAKE BODY SCULPTING
Westlake is my Mother's Medical Spa. I help with the business in a variety of capacities. Sometimes I assist with hiring processes by helping to select with a second interview process. I meet with other businesses and nonprofits to create new business, and I both create and tweak our Google Pay Per Click and AdWords marketing campaigns
November 2012 - February 2019
ATM SERVICE TECHNICIAN/MANAGER, ACFN OF THE WOODLANDS
My Father and I franchised from an ATM company called ACFN, while we owned it I was in charge of marketing new locations, assuring each location was operational, and respond to any service calls 24 hours a day. I became proficient in multi-task in a very analytical way in order to best manage my time, mileage, and the 50+ machines and locations at any given time.

FOOD EXPO, SUPERICA
In my role at Superica I provided support for the restaurant floor by bussing and serving customers. I would also ensure that food made it to the floor promptly and correctly from the kitchen window. I had to co-ordinate food runs and server during both slow and busy times.

OPTICIAN, AMERICAS' BEST CONTACTS AND EYEGLASSES
While working at America's Best I often opened and closed the store alongside the manager. I was able to maintain sales numbers 150% and customer satisfaction reviews 300% over the store average. Organized customer files in both paper and digital databases. I was able to effectively lead and manage shift teams twice a week.
October 2014 - November 2015
VAPE ENVY
During my time at the vape shop I managed and organized the whole store and my efforts increased sales revenue by 75%. I installed a new Point of Sale system, organizing and recording the sale process to give the owner their first numbers. Open and closed store daily and hired new employees while until school demanded my attention

OFFICE AID, UNIVERSITY OF HOUSTON FINANCIAL AID DEPT.
While working here I was able to answer incoming phone calls to provide customer service. I created a 'Klipfolio' Dashboard for the department to use after I left. I reorganized both their paper and digital filing systems and was able to effectively coordinate teams to complete these projects.

I started my college career thinking I would focus on Supply Chain Management and Marketing. I quickly realized while working through school that I have a real affinity and talent for Management, so I shifted my focus towards classes in Management to earn my major!

I was planning on graduating with a double major, but chose to minor in Marketing in order to graduate a little quicker. I was a few credits short of the major, but wanted to graduate in May so I took the minor!

St. Thomas College Preparatory High School was an extremely rewarding experience. I learned a lot a discipline rising early each day here during my four years in attendance. I worked hard to earn the grades I did and worked through the summers with the maintenance staff to have the money I had.

I am a proficient Project Manager. Having experienced a need for efficient project management throughout my past employment and academic history. With various projects managed at the University of Houston, America's Best, and Westlake Body Sculpting, among others. For example, at the University of Houston I helped set up a 'Klipfolio' dashboard to help organize and digitize the financial aid department.
BILINGUAL
I'm able to speak English and Spanish Fluently. I can work effectively in both languages. I can understand Italian, but have am out of practice and probably couldn't hold a conversation today.
